Witteveen+Bos has won the BIMup Trophy 2026 in the ‘Design Companies’ category. The award was presented during Digital Construction Day in Brussels, where Witteveen+Bos was named the winner. The jury selected three finalists from 19 participating organisations. This award recognises our investments in BIM, digitalisation and information management over the past two years.

Digital collaboration for better projects

At Witteveen+Bos, we are strongly committed to Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM brings together design data and project information in a shared digital environment. This enables different disciplines to coordinate their work more effectively, identify potential issues earlier and improve collaboration between project partners.

Over the past two years, we have taken significant steps to strengthen our digital approach. We established a BIM Knowledge Center and introduced Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as a central platform for collaboration and information management.

From design to operation and maintenance

We also continue to innovate in information management. In collaboration with the Flemish Agency for Roads and Traffic (AWV), we worked on integrating a standardised information structure (OTL) into our BIM models.

This ensures that project information remains valuable not only during the design and tendering stages, but also throughout subsequent phases, including operation and maintenance. The result is greater consistency, improved information transfer and added value for our clients.

Our efforts in BIM and information management also helped lay the foundation for a successful external BSI audit, following which Witteveen+Bos obtained ISO 19650-2:2018 certification.

Recognition of our people and expertise

The BIMup Trophy highlights our ambition to further embed digitalisation across our projects. Above all, the award recognises the knowledge, dedication and collaboration of our colleagues who contribute to the ongoing development of BIM within Witteveen+Bos.

With this recognition, we continue to work towards a future in which digital collaboration and intelligent information management contribute to high-quality, efficient and future-proof projects.
