Witteveen+Bos evening course

Energy strategy for industrial sites

Witteveen+Bos evening course

Register today: limited seats.

How do you stay competitive and sustainable in an energy landscape that changes every month? Volatile prices, grid congestion and rising CO₂ costs are putting industrial companies under pressure. Investment decisions carry more weight than ever. What do you choose today without locking yourself in tomorrow?

During this training evening, we translate system knowledge and practical experience into clear insights and concrete case studies.

Practical information

  • When: Tuesday 28 April 2026, 5pm – 9pm
  • Where: Radisson Hotel Antwerp Berchem
  • For: Energy and sustainability managers and business leaders
  • Fee: EUR 175.00 p.p.
  • Certificate of attendance or participation available

Topic 1: The energy system in context

We place investments within the broader energy and electricity system.
Sustainability, affordability and security of supply form the common thread.

You will gain insight into: the functioning and evolution of electricity and gas markets, energy price volatility, and the growing value of flexibility.

We will also explore the impact of the EU Emissions Trading System 2 (ETS2) in more detail. What exactly is it? How does a CO₂ price translate into your energy bill? And what does this mean in concrete terms for your company?

Topic 2: From system insight to investment decisions

Which technologies will truly future-proof your site? What should you prioritise? How do you deal with uncertainty around prices, CO₂ and grid capacity?

Using concrete real-world examples of electrifying thermal processes, such as waste heat recovery, industrial heat pumps, mechanical vapour recompression (MVR), geothermal energy and electric boilers, we demonstrate how to combine measures into a realistic energy roadmap.

With attention to process integration, grid impact, economic feasibility and available support mechanisms.
